What Will The Super Bowl 52 Matchup Be?

Coming into this season, there is one conference that has an overwhelming favorite – and one that is up for grabs. The AFC has the defending super bowl champions in the New England Patriots. And they somehow got even better – the Pats added CB Stephon Gilmore and WR Brandin Cooks most notably to improve a roster that was already a grade A roster.

I think the Patriots will end the season 15-1 and steamroll through the AFC – defeating the Raiders in the AFC Championship game. But who will they play? the NFC is wide open. I could see the Cowboys, Packers, Seahawks, & even the Falcons again.

But I say none of those four get to Super Bowl sunday:

I say the New York Giants will defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game – and we will see the three-peat matchup of the Patriots/Giants saga. The Giants fully return what was the #2 scoring defense in the NFL. On top of their great defense – the Giants added WR Brandon Marshall, and drafted TE Evan Engram, who has been killing it in camp so far.

Now that they have Marshall, opposing defenses will not be able to just key on WR Odell Beckham Jr. The Giants also have a good young running back in Paul Perkins. If he can just be a marginal RB, that offense will be dynamic.

The Giants and the Patriots are the two most balanced teams in the NFL in my opinion. It seems like a hot take to say the Giants will make the Super Bowl – but they have the most impressive roster in the NFC in my opinion.

Giants/Patriots part III – watch out.
