This is my 1st NFL Draft preview. Today I will discuss some guys who you many not here much about but you may closer to the draft. Small school players I evaluate on stats then look at tape. If you don’t dominate Mac or C-USA I wouldn’t look at you for long.

QB Logan Woodside- Toledo

Stats 88-139, 1346 yards 11 TDs 1 Int

Last week Woodside play really well vs a far superior Miami team Woodside threw for 342 yards and 3 TDs in a 52-30 loss to the Hurricanes. Woodside has good size (6’2 210) and a strong arm, I also like the pro style offense he is in. Negative is that his feet move around a bit to much but that’s fixable. I give him a 6th round grade as of now, development QB prospect give him a year or 2 as a backup them maybe a starter by year 3.

RB Dalyn Dawkins- Colorado State

Stats 58 touches 341 yards 3 TDs

Dawkins started his career at Purdue but after his freshman year he transferred to CSU where he has put up back to back 1,000 yard season . Dawkins is quick (4:40 40 time) and elusive, but at only 5’9 size is his main issue. Grade late 6th early 7th round pick.

RB D’Angelo Brewer-Tulsa

116 Touches 607 yards 5 TDs

Just when you thought I was done talking about 5’9 RBs. He may be small but he has handled a big load 540 carries since SO season about 21 per game. Size will be the biggest concern. Tape shows poor o-line play that doesn’t help him I’ll give him a Late 5th early 6th grade.

WR Cody Thompson-Toledo

Stats 27 catches 505 yards 4 TDs

Woodside’s partner in crime is also 6’2 runs a 4.44 40. Very good blocking WR and a solid route runner. Dropped a few catchable balls on tape. Man I want to watch Toledo. Espn get them on tv. Grade him a 5th round pick.

WR Cedrick Wilson-Boise St

29 catches 485 yards 3 TDs

Really good athlete uses size well(6’3) good route runner. Poor QB play on some of the tape dose not help. 4:4 40 time looked just better than Washington ST secondary. Really like this kid as an early day 3 pickup with high upside. Occasional Drop here and there not to worried though. 4th round grade.

WR Jaleel Scott- New Mexico State

26 catches 369 yards 4 TDs

This may be the best kept secret in the 2018 draft. No really barely and tape also can’t find a 40 time, but I’m in love with size + numbers. A CC transfer 2 star recruit he just kept growing in fact before his junior year he was barely 6’5 now 6’6 has great hands can win almost every jump ball.  4th round grade

TE Adam Breneman-UMass

Stats 24 catches 369 yards

6’5 very good receiver lines up in the slot a lot. Even better blocker. Penn St commit transfer to UMass after SO season 4:68 40 time. Almost reminds me of pre injury jimmy graham the way he is used. 2nd round grade
