First, Irving shocked the Cavs this past summer, requesting a trade away from LeBron James. Then Wednesday, he threw the whole city of Cleveland under the bus by saying he is excited to play in a “real, live sports city” that is Boston.
“It’s a really major city. Coming from Cleveland, the Midwest, where the culture is different,” Irving said Wednesday, via the Boston Globe. “And then you move to the East Coast — into Boston — and it’s so real [and] alive. An ongoing, thriving city. Consistently. No matter what hour throughout the night.
Alright, first of all, is he wrong with his comments? No.
I live in Massachusetts and have been to Boston many times, the Garden, Fenway, you name it – it’s always fucking electric here. Does Kyrie have the right to be excited about Boston and the new season? of course.
But is it in good taste to take shots at Cleveland? No. It makes him look like an immature bitch. It’s ok to diss The city that bought your merchandise, shoes, and paid a bunch of cash to watch you play basketball? Fuck no. The common man in Cleveland works 10 hours a day in a factory, and then sits down to watch you play and religiously root for you, and you spit in their face? Fuck this guy.
He can have resentment for LeBron, Lue, or the management. That’s fine. It’s happens all the time in the NBA, normal business shit. But have you heard players who demanded a trade then shit on the city that helped grow them to superstar status? The answer is no.
Kyrie is an immature bitch, I hope Cleveland sweeps Boston in the ECF so he can be put in his place. Kyrie can replace Paul Pierce as LeBron’s bitch now.
